Every Edno School course is designed around this complete learning process. You first become familiar with new material independently, then activate and master it during live classes, and finally strengthen it through further practice and real connection.

Edno Community adds authentic practice, cultural context and human connection through events, activities, trips and additional opportunities to use Bulgarian in new situations.

A first encounter with a new word may create familiarity, but familiarity is not the same as being able to recall and use that word in conversation.
Language knowledge develops gradually. Each time you encounter, recognise, retrieve and use a word, the mental connection becomes stronger and easier to access. Practice distributed across time supports more durable retention than trying to learn everything in one intensive session. Repeated retrieval is particularly important because it trains you to produce information from memory rather than simply recognise it on a page.
There is no single number of repetitions that guarantees learning. A familiar word may become usable quickly, while a more complex word, phrase or grammatical pattern may require many encounters across different contexts. Frequency, spacing and the quality of each encounter all influence progress.
In our experience, the learners who make the strongest progress are those who invest regular time outside the classroom.
Independent preparation allows you to revisit material without pressure, notice what is still unclear and return to class ready to participate. It also gives your brain the repeated exposure needed to retain vocabulary, patterns and structures over time.
To make that work easier and more consistent, Edno School has developed an improved digital learning platform with guided preparation, revision and additional daily practice. You do not need to decide what to revise or create your own learning system. The platform follows the course and guides you through the material in a clear sequence.
Each Edno School level is designed so that important language returns at carefully planned stages. Learners do not encounter a key word, structure or communicative function once and then leave it behind. The same language reappears in different lessons, topics and activities, with a higher expectation each time.
Edno Community extends your learning beyond the course. It gives you more opportunities to meet Bulgarian in authentic situations, practise without the pressure of a formal lesson and connect with other learners who are building a life in Bulgaria.
Active students receive access to monthly activities such as cultural celebrations and workshops, Bulgarian folk dance classes, walks in and around Sofia, trips across Bulgaria, clubs and additional practice sessions.
Edno School group courses bring together 6-8 learners with a similar level and a shared commitment to progress.
The groups are small enough for active participation, individual feedback and regular speaking practice, while offering the variety and energy that come from learning with other people.
The full learning experience is much broader than the time spent in class. Live lessons, digital preparation and community practice work together as one programme.
Live online classes offer the structure and interaction of a group course with the flexibility to join from anywhere.
Learners prepare through the digital platform and then meet their teacher and group online to practise speaking, develop comprehension and actively use the new material.
Regular in-person courses provide a steadym learning rhythm and consistent contact with Bulgarian over ten weeks.
The format combines independent digital preparation with interactive classroom practice, teacher guidance and the social experience of learning alongside a small group.
The intensive format is designed for learners who want to complete a full level within a shorter period and can dedicate time to Bulgarian every day.
The faster schedule creates frequent contact with the language, but independen preparation and revision remain essential.
Individual courses are suitable for learners who need greater flexibility, a personalised pace or focused work towards a specific goal.
Your programme may place additional emphasis on professional communication, family life, academic needs, relocation, a particular language skill or an area that requires further support.
Individual learning does not mean unstructured learning. The programme follows the same Edno School methodology, combining clear progression, independent preparation, live interaction and repeated practice.
Your teacher can adapt the pace and focus, while the digital platform provides continuity between sessions and helps you remain actively engaged with Bulgarian.
Individual courses are available online and in person, with the learning plan developed around your level, goals and availability.

A regular group course may provide the rhythm and shared experience you need. An intensive course may suit a period when you can focus fully on Bulgarian. Individual learning may be more appropriate when your schedule or goals require a tailored approach.
